What this solution does

The Social Icons and Share Buttons module displays icons for social networks and messengers on a website. The functionality includes links to corporate pages, share buttons, a floating contact button, a side panel, a mobile bar, and a pop-up window. All settings are configured in the administrative panel without a programmer, featuring a live preview.

The module addresses the following tasks. Links to corporate pages are placed in the header, footer, and product card using a component, shortcode, or visual editor snippet. Share buttons for articles and products automatically retrieve the URL, title, and image from the page, append UTM tags to the link, support a "Copy Link" function, and utilize the native share menu on mobile devices.

The floating contact button can appear as a fan-shaped dropdown, a list with labels, or a single icon. It supports a call to action with a manager's photo and allows changing the network icons on the button itself. Additional features include a side panel at the screen edge, a mobile bar at the bottom of the phone screen, and a pop-up window triggered by a timer, scrolling, or an exit intent.

The module directory includes 41 social networks and communication channels: VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Zen, My World, Pikabu, Habr, vc.ru, Telegram, MAX, WhatsApp, Viber, VK Messenger, TamTam, Signal, RuTube, VK Video, YouTube, Platform, TikTok, Twitch, Ozon, Wildberries, Yandex Market, Avito, Yandex Maps, 2GIS, Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, Discord, phone, SMS, email, map address, arbitrary link, "Copy link", and "Share". Users can add a custom channel by uploading an icon in SVG, PNG, or WebP format, and may rename or recolor any existing item. These custom changes are preserved after module updates.

The module offers 12 ready-made styles, 8 color schemes, and 5 shape options: circle, rounded square, square, icon only, and button with label. Settings allow separate sizing for desktop and mobile devices, along with control over margins, shadows, borders, transparency, hover and attention-drawing effects, tooltips, and custom CSS.

Display conditions can be configured by website, device type, page address masks, and regular expressions. Visibility can be restricted to checkout pages, specific user groups, or scheduled by day and hour. The module also supports targeting based on UTM parameters and referral source. Elements can be set to appear with a delay or after page scrolling. A global exclusion list for pages is available in the module settings. For sites on the "Sites 24" platform, the feature is enabled with a single checkbox.

The module includes built-in analytics.

The Social Icons and Share Buttons module tracks clicks on social networks and button sets. It provides charts, CSV export, integration with Yandex Metrica goals, dataLayer and GA4 events, and the ability to trigger custom JS events. The database stores only daily click totals without saving IP addresses or visitor personal data.

Configuration is handled via a three-step wizard. The editor allows previewing icons on both light and dark backgrounds. The module supports importing and exporting sets for transfer between sites, multi-site management, and role-based access control: statistics viewing, set editing, and full access.

System requirements include PHP 8.2 or higher and the main module version 22.0 or higher. No special hosting settings are required. The module source code is open with no obfuscated sections. It operates without external paid services or partner add-ons and contains no in-app purchases. Social network scripts are not loaded on pages, and visitor data is not sent to external services before a click occurs. Share counting considers only clicks on the module's buttons on the current site; external counters are not used. A notice regarding Meta's status in the Russian Federation is displayed next to Facebook, Instagram, and Threads icons and can be disabled.

The Social Icons and Share Buttons module enables the addition of elements for social networks and content sharing buttons. Integration into a website template requires access to its code. Automatic modes, shortcodes, and snippets function without the need for manual source code editing.
