Use case: After modifying the core of the partner.code module, there is a risk that a client-initiated update could break the site. To prevent this, place a readme.md file in the root of the partner.code module. Then, in the current module's settings, disable updates for partner.code and specify a message warning that the update may break custom changes and referring to the readme.md file in the module's root.
