Storing backups on a hosting provider or in the Bitrix cloud has significant limitations. The virtual space in the Bitrix cloud is often insufficient even for a two-week backup cycle; as the site size increases, the number of available copies decreases. Additional storage on hosting is significantly more expensive—for example, 1 TB for 209 rubles per month. When storage limits are reached, site loading issues or complete service unavailability may occur due to a lack of resources for caching and database operations. The process of creating backups and restoring a site from the Bitrix cloud requires substantial time and manual effort.
Using Yandex.Disk for backup storage protects data from unauthorized access and malware. Physical server failures do not affect the integrity of backup copies. In case of an incident, it is sufficient to restore the hardware and access the system to recover the site.
Yandex.Disk provides secure cloud storage with continuously evolving protection systems. The Apik-it module simplifies working with website backups in the cloud by automating file placement and management.
The program allows configuring automatic upload of backup copies to Yandex.Disk, eliminating the need for manual intervention. Built-in lifecycle management mechanisms ensure automatic deletion of outdated versions, freeing administrators from routine monitoring and optimizing the use of available cloud space.
The module interface displays a list of all saved backup copies, providing the ability to view their parameters and perform manual management when required.
The module enables automatic downloading of backup copies from the Yandex.Disk cloud storage to the site and their subsequent removal. Administrators do not need direct access to the disk's personal account; all operations are performed via the module's functionality.
