Cookie consent banner (cookie policy)

What this solution does

The Solodix.cookie module displays a fixed banner on public pages with a cookie notification and an Accept button. Once a visitor confirms consent, the site remembers this choice and stops showing the banner until the configured retention period expires.

Configuration is available without code changes:

enabling the module and selecting specific sites in a multisite configuration;

notification text, including a link to the policy page within the text;

button text and the consent retention period;

banner layout: full-width or compact mode (left, right, or center);

separate screen margins for desktop devices and mobile phones;

background styles: colors, text size, corner radius, and background transparency;

button styles: colors, including hover state, text size, internal padding, and corner radius.

The module does not replace existing site scripts and does not block their execution until the button is pressed. No third-party services, paid subscriptions, or additional modules are required.

Requirements and limitations:

requires the 1C-Bitrix: Site Management platform with the main module version 20.0.0 or newer and PHP version 8.2 or higher;

no decline button is provided; visitors can only accept the notification;

when composite caching is enabled, the site cache must be cleared once after installation or after changing settings.

Removing the Cookie Consent Banner module clears its configuration and event handlers, but does not delete cookie files that have already been stored in visitors' browsers.
