How it works
1. Backup creation
The backup process is handled by the standard script /bitrix/modules/main/tools/backup.php. Execution can be triggered manually or scheduled via cron.
2. Admin panel configuration
In the Settings → Tools → Backup → Regular Backup section, set the "Launch method" option to: "via direct launch /bitrix/modules/main/tools/backup.php".
3. Upload to Edge Cloud Center
Upon successful creation of the backup file, it is automatically uploaded to Edge Cloud Center. Old backups are deleted and moved to the trash to prevent storage overflow.
4. Error logging
All errors occurring during backup creation or interaction with Edge Cloud Center are recorded in the event log. This allows for prompt identification and resolution of potential issues.
The module provides automatic backup transmission to the Edge Cloud. It automatically removes outdated backups and maintains error logging. The solution is fully compatible with standard Bitrix backup settings and supports execution via cron jobs.
