Mibok: Blind-Friendly Version is a module for website integration. The product is registered in the Unified Register of Russian Programs for Electronic Computers and Databases (registration number 2524, Order of the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia dated 23.12.2016 No. 682). The module automatically generates an adapted site version presenting information in a user-friendly format. Features include text-to-speech synthesis for reading page content and the ability to add text descriptions for non-text materials. The solution complies with GOST R 52872-2019, WCAG 2.1 standards, Order of the Ministry of Digital Development of Russia No. 931 dated 12.12.2022, and Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 102 dated 07.02.2026.

Mibok: Version for the Visually Impaired is a module that ensures website compliance with GOST R 52872-2019 requirements. Adherence to these standards is mandatory for government organizations under the Federal Law "On Social Protection of Persons with Disabilities in the Russian Federation." The tool also enhances accessibility for commercial sites, aiding in audience acquisition and retention for users with disabilities.
The standard regulates all aspects of information presentation, ranging from link formatting to personal data protection requirements. Websites are categorized into three accessibility levels: A (minimum accessibility), AA (full information accessibility for the visually impaired), and AAA (specialized resources for people with visual impairments).
Every website must adhere to the principles of Perceivability, Operability, Understandability, and Robustness. This means all interface elements are adapted for visually impaired users to ensure seamless interaction without difficulties.
The Mibok 'Accessibility Version' module helps bring a website into compliance with GOST R 52872-2019, which includes approximately 150 requirements. The standard mandates the absence of frames, text descriptions for all links and images, and mandatory text adaptation for all multimedia content, including video and audio. The color scheme must ensure sufficient contrast, and color cannot be the sole means of identifying interface elements.
The solution enables the creation of an accessible site version containing the same information as the main site but in a format convenient for people with visual impairments. Installing the module takes a few minutes. The system automatically generates a new template for the content management system and adds a mode switcher to the page. Content on each page is displayed in two formats: standard and adapted for the visually impaired.
Mibok: Accessibility Module for the Visually Impaired is a website module that allows users to independently configure content display, including font size and color scheme.
The technical implementation relies on automated template generation based on the site's existing templates. The solution is developed in compliance with W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 and WAI-ARIA standards.
Key features of the module:
The settings panel offers three font sizes, five color schemes, three letter spacing (kerning) options, three line spacing options, and the ability to toggle the display of images and Flash content. A monochrome image mode is available, along with font selection (serif or sans-serif) and volume control for synthesized speech.
The system includes a mechanism to skip repeating blocks (such as the site header) for quick access to the main page content. Navigation can be performed using the keyboard. The interface is supported by audio cues, and text content can be converted into speech using text-to-speech technology.
The Mibok module for visually impaired users enables audio output for standard 1C-Bitrix captcha, supports Braille font, and provides text representations for non-text materials. The solution offers high quality and flexible configuration through a dedicated template, which is convenient for developers. End users benefit from extended functionality and improved content accessibility, including keyboard navigation, text-to-speech for reading text, and audio feedback for the settings panel interface. The product holds a GOST compliance certificate. Multiple languages are supported for both the user interface and speech synthesis.
The Mibok: Blind-Friendly Version module provides adapted interfaces in Russian, English, Ukrainian, and Belarusian. The Belarusian version supports the visual interface only, without speech synthesis. Implementing this functionality is mandatory for government websites and recommended for private enterprise sites.
The current module version lacks ready-made templates for product catalogs on 1C-Bitrix platforms below version 17.0, as well as ready-made solutions for e-commerce functionality (shopping cart, order checkout, and other elements) across all versions. Users may develop these templates independently or order them for an additional fee.
If the site uses complex chains of included files nested within each other or dependent on specific settings and conditions, including code and components used for displaying information, additional customization of the blind-friendly version template may be required. The scope of work needed can vary significantly across different sites.
