The module protects the administrative panel from brute-force password attacks and limits the generation of excessive requests to the admin area. Access is granted via a special link containing a unique key or keyword. Previously, access to the administrative panel was available via a URL containing the www subdomain, the domain name, and the path /bitrix/admin/.
The module protects the administrative panel from brute-force password attacks and limits the generation of excessive requests to the admin area. Access is granted via a special link containing a unique key or keyword.
Previously, access to the administrative panel was available via a URL containing the www subdomain, the domain name, and the path /bitrix/admin/. Now, a parameter with a keyword known only to the administrator must be appended to this address. The default keyword is set to bitrix.
After the first successful login with the key, the system stores it, allowing access to the administrative panel without re-entry for 24 hours. Once this period expires, the key must be entered again.
The keyword can be changed in the module settings. The solution is compatible with all editions of the Bitrix platform.
