The solution replaces the standard text field with a convenient form featuring autocomplete functionality powered by the Dadata service for addresses in the Russian Federation. The interface includes an interactive map with a marker indicating the selected location. If the checkout form contains a separate field for the postal code, it is automatically populated as the address is selected.
The 'Delivery Address Auto-fill via KLADR' module by Ipol allows customers to select an address from suggestions based on current data from the Federal Information Address System instead of manual entry. This reduces errors and ensures the address is filled in a strict sequence and format, simplifying automatic processing by integration solutions.
The module provides the option to replace the standard '1C-Bitrix' location selector with a search field using Dadata autocomplete. The standard selector is visually hidden, and the selected locality is automatically converted to the '1C-Bitrix' location format. This is required for correct delivery calculation, restriction handling, and other CMS functionality.
The KLADR address auto-completion module is a client-server solution that uses the Dadata service API and JavaScript widget for location and address suggestions. Map visualization is implemented via the Yandex Maps API. Data is fetched from external services in real-time rather than stored locally, meaning the module cannot operate in a fully autonomous mode.
When the option to hide the standard location selector is enabled, the HTML block containing the default input field is visually hidden via CSS. Within the standard bitrix:sale.order.ajax checkout component, this replaces the bitrix:sale.location.selector.search component. A new input field with auto-suggestions for populated places is inserted in its place. If the Bitrix location classifier includes countries other than Russia, a "Not Russia" checkbox is automatically added. Clicking this checkbox disables the module and restores the standard location selection mechanism, allowing users to select cities outside the Russian Federation.
The module provides automatic address entry for delivery based on KLADR data. Once a buyer selects a populated place, the system locates the corresponding record in Bitrix, silently populates the standard selector, and refreshes the checkout page to recalculate order details, shipping costs, and other parameters. If an exact match cannot be found—for instance, if the classifier contains only cities but the buyer selects a village—the system defaults to the nearest available level, such as a district or region, while retaining the buyer's original selection in the module's interface.
Selection of streets and house numbers is linked to the populated place search field when the standard location selector is hidden, or to the standard selector when it is visible. Address autocomplete suggestions are context-aware, offering streets only within the selected city or region. Choosing a specific street automatically updates the available list of house numbers. As the buyer enters the address, the module automatically populates the corresponding order properties.
