VARS is a duty AI bot for portal security monitoring. It delivers notifications about suspicious activity and security incidents to the personal messages of responsible employees in Bitrix24. The bot's messages are concise, informative, and include a brief comment on the risk level, making them easier to read than standard system alerts.
The bot registers in the portal via the standard Bitrix\Im\Bot mechanism with its own avatar and profile. It automatically formats alerts into a readable view, specifying the event, object, employee, IP address, reason, and a link to the log. If a personal message cannot be sent, the system gracefully falls back to a standard system notification.
VARS serves as a delivery channel for monitoring modules, such as the CRM Security Log (hyperx.securitylog). This ensures that risk alerts do not get lost among other messages. The bot is installed once, after which connected security modules use it to send alerts. The bot is registered and removed automatically when the module is installed or uninstalled.
Risk levels are marked with color indicators.
