What this solution does

The BXmaker. GeoIP 4.0 module determines the city from an IP address on both the server side and the client browser. It supports eight data sources: Bitrix Geolocation (including third-party modules), SypexGeo.net, ip-api.com, Ip2RusCity.com, Ip2GeoLocation.com, GeoPlugin.com, Yandex, and Dadata.ru. On the client side, data can be refined using Yandex Maps by IP, or determined via device geolocation (mobile phone, laptop, computer). Databases are updated automatically. A backup channel (SypexGeo.net) is available for foreign sources to ensure data remains current.

Regions

The module allows grouping users by geographic location. Based on this configuration, it is possible to display different prices, text content, contact details, and other parameters. The system supports providing regional discounts, assigning responsible persons to orders, replacing the email sender address in messages, and selecting different warehouses to display stock availability. Additional capabilities include inserting fields (including custom ones) into page text and meta tags, using placeholders in SEO templates for information block elements, and extending functionality with additional fields, such as for grammatical case variations of city names.

The BXmaker. GeoIP 4.0 module allows binding regions to domains, subdomains, and subdirectories simultaneously. This enables flexible user routing based on location. For example, the main domain can serve all users in Russia, a subdirectory can target Voronezh, a subdomain can target Rostov, a combination of subdomain and subdirectory can target Kazan, and separate domains or subdomains can serve users in Moscow and Zelenograd. All listed combinations can operate simultaneously, providing a high degree of configuration flexibility.

The BXmaker GeoIP 4.0 module is compatible with all platform editions starting from 'Start'. In editions lacking the built-in 'Online Store' module, the solution utilizes its own location dataset. This dataset is fully identical to the one used by the 'Online Store' module, as both components rely on the same data source.
